Basic Needs

When the breadwinner becomes unemployed, an illness strikes, a family can’t stretch its resources any further, or whenever times get tough, BVCAP is there to help with these and other support services:

  • Provision of food through the BVCAP Food Cupboard
  • Referral to the RI Donation Exchange for furniture and clothing
  • Emergency housing assistance
  • Fuel assistance
  • Holiday toys for children who would otherwise go without

FAMILY ADVOCACY CENTER
A drop-in resource and referral center where an individual can sit down with a case manager, discuss eligibility for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, and connect with other community resources. Located next door to the food pantry.
